Chaka Khan

Chaka Khan, better known as the Queen of Funk, is a well-known American musician. She has won 10 Grammys over her entire career, which spans over 50 years. She has also been named as the 65th highest-performing dancer of all time by Billboard magazine. Her birthplace was in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz early on in her age by her mother. She began her career by playing with various bands. Then, in the near future she was a part of a band called Rufus. Her debut album was released with the band at the twenty-year mark. The group won their first Grammy prize a year later. Few years later, she recorded her first album as an artist on her own. In the following years, she released other albums, including "Echoes Of An Era", "The Woman I am" and a song called "Funk This". Other than her contributions to music, she has also earned a reputation through her charitable work. Chaka Khan Foundation was established to assist children of poor families and those with autism. Khan was also an actress at times. She portrayed the role of Sister Carrie in the role of lead in the musical 'Mama, I Want To Sing'. Chaka Chaka Chaka
