Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and musician, who is predominantly in Tamil and Malayalam film languages. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam in addition to her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah was born in Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as an attorney in the Madras High Court. Her mother is the older sister of a researcher assistant from Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was born near Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began learning classical piano when she was eight. She was an avid geek who wanted to become a psychiatrist. Young Stars is a Jackson Five type group was her first group when she was 10 years old, which was the foundation of her music and singing career. At her university she was also an actor and appeared in stage plays that were put on through The Madras Players. Andrea was also the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's career started with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She appeared in the 2006 leo coffee commercial with Shiva. She also acted as a character in Podhigai's serial. She has performed all over India. She played a minor role in the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). She sang for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The director asked her to play one of his lead female characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed. It featured Andrea playing Kalyani a homemaker her husband who is caught in an affair, and then is threatened with blackmail. Andrea was approached after Simran shobana and Tabu. It was released early in the year 2010. Her minor role was accepted in the film of Venkat Mankatha in the year 2011, that starred several actors. The actress made her Malayalam debut in a film with Rajeeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
